WELCOME PARENTS AND EDUCATORS

It's nice to meet you and I hope you're having a wonderful day.

Let's chat about Seasons.
  • Seasons is a middle-grade action adventure fantasy novel for ages 8 to 12. If you're over the age group, it's okay. I still read Goosebumps.
  • The writing style is simple and easy to read. It's similar to that of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl, and Brandon Mull's Fabelhaven.  Any child who can read at a third-grade reading level can get through the book series.
  • Seasons is packed with a fast paced story; my characters never stay in one place for too long.
  • Seasons is an action fantasy as far as the characters and their abilities, but many of the locations they go to are real and the information on those areas, such as Yellowstone National Park, is based on scientific research done in that location.
  • Seasons is designed to promote environmental awareness and science in a fun way. There has been too much talk about all the bad that is going on in our world. I don't like hearing about that either. That's why I wrote Seasons to be funny and entertaining. I'm excited to use my work to encourage environmental awareness and S.T.E.A.M. education.
  • Seasons is supported by organizations from around the world that are making a difference.

School Visits

Are you looking for a scientist and children's novelist to come to your school? Fear not, I would be excited to come present.

My presentations are a mix between creative writing and science. In the presentation, I'll be showing off plenty of new villains to keep the students entertained. More importantly, I'll be using the descriptions of the villains to introduce environmental and scientific topics; the same topics that can be found in Common Core and elementary textbooks. I only present what is in the U.S. school system.

In addition, I'll be speaking about utilizing thoughts and imagination in storytelling and art.

Supporting your organization

Part of an organization that plants trees, cleans up garbage on the beach, builds community gardens, or something completely different? Let Seasons get involved. In addition to writing Seasons, I want to use my work to promote the organizations that are making a difference.
For example, I was able to connect Algalita Marine Research and Education and Earthcare Eco Kids to an environmental radio show that broadcasts all over California.

Contact me at csulyatebooks@gmail.com and lets get started!

Check out the great organizations that are involved.
