ABOUT

Picture
C.S. Ulyate (Cameron S. Ulyate) is an American writer, artist, and environmental scientist. Known for writing the hit children's book Seasons The Ring of Fire, Seasons Waves of Madness, and Duke Da Vinci and The Crimson Heart. He is a strong support in promoting educational material that teaches science, technology, engineering, art, and math, (S.T.E.A.M), his next step is to get children and parents involved in those very subjects.
As an environmental scientist specializing in water quality, he has aided organizations, such as the United States Geological Survey, in collecting mercury samples in the Sierra Nevada and also incorporating mercury pollution into the California 4th-grade Gold Rush curriculum. In addition, he has worked with several local and international organizations in research and environmental awareness, such as Algalita Marine Research and Education, where he aided in studying samples collected from the North Pacific Gyre.

When he isn't researching or writing another book, he is planning a trip to a far away country, trying to learn a new recipe without burning the house down, and exploring the art galleries of Los Angeles.

Influences
His influences for creating strange characters and plots comes from the cartoons he had watched as a child, such as Hey Arnold!, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and Dexter's Labatory. As for childhood books, he is a big fan of the Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot books by Dav Pikey and Martine Ontiveros and Animorphs series by K.A. Applegate.

People That Motivate and Inspire Him
Over the years, listening to speeches made by Hollywood actors such as Jim Carey, Terry Crews, and Will Smith have taught him that the hardest work is often done when no one is watching.
